Rehman Malik and Amnesty

It was extremely hurtful to see how shamelessly Rehman Malik (being himself a criminal) was stating that he withdraws cases against Baloch leaders and illogically declares irrational amnesty for them who have been fighting for their justified rights which were snatched forcefully and they were subjected to ruthless poverty in their resource rich golden land which has been brutally subjugated and deceitfully exploited by the imperialistic regimes’ debauchery and loot the most. His aim is crystal clear from his incredibly ironical statement to display the Baloch as wrong, guilty and criminal ignoring his own real face. He can neither comprehend nor feel what he utters as he has lost his contemplative sense long before.

But all sing the same melodious song with the same rhythm, the PM’s words were nothing more than a shame for Pakistanis approving that the Baloch were deliberately kept deprived of their Basic rights by pledging to bestow them and the case was not different in an assertive statement by President Zardari convincingly assuring that Baloch were not understood as an ingredient of the Pakistan society by expressing he is aware of the injustices to the Baloch people and would not abandon his brothers in such a difficult time and that he would make sure the people of Balochistan become part of Pakistan Society

Such statements are not making better the situation but further harshly aggravating its intensity to a considerable length seriously. It is laudably appreciating that the painful cry and immense agony of the highly neglected Baloch people is at least heard by some intellectual ears. 

February 21, The Mother Language Day!

Congratulations to Baloch people you have a language that is kept alive not by collective but individual efforts! We are in 21^st century. It is the time that nations are recognized by the virtue of language they speak, by the culture and civilization they follow. “If you talk to a man in a language he understands, Says Nelson Mandela, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his own language, that goes to his heart.”


It was depressing to see that the great Balochi poet, Gul Khan Nasser’s collection of poetry carries a preface that is written in Urdu language, and it was clear from the writing and choice of words that the “Peshgal” (preface) was coined by a Balochi speaker, this perception became a reality when it come clear to the eyes that actually the preface is written by Gul Banu, daughter of the great revolutionary poet and Balochi lover being mentioned.


Now it is easy to assume whether Balochi was considered outdated or Urdu as influential by the writer. Her mother tongue is Balochi, she preferred Urdu. It might be called something narrow mindedness of me or ignorance of the writer. It might be surprising for everyone even for a non-Balochi speaker to find out that the Peshgal of a Balochi poet’s collected works written in Balochi is in Urdu seems something dramatic and totally unmatchable.


The thinking level might show me as a provincial man, but it is a genuine reality that an artist must first be nationally known in the true sense of the word, before he/she is internationally known. It is known and practiced even by an insignificant artist. Balochi literature is not a backward or dead literature, if it was, again it is necessary to be read and write by Balochi speaker being the mother tongue.


 It must be the responsibility of the speaker of a language to popularize it and enrich it with new coined words, as new things are arriving. One should not make the language inferior he speaks rather intelligently promote and nourish it as it is done by great scholars of any language, we have names among us like, Zahoor Shah Hashumi, Saba Dashtiyari, G.R. Mullah, Karim Dashti, a long list of names.


One can not be respected by his people when he speaks and writes in an alien language and also by the people in whom language he writes. Before trying to win others, one should try to win over his own people.

Harassing girls and IIUI

 The report was shocking. No, it was not shocking as it is common in our society which is praisingly called an Islamic society based on the Holy Quran. We should not be surprised because girls are toys simply made to be exploited by men for sexual pleasures. Don't get angry, I'm not saying this but your just society in which you're miserably passing your remaining days.

We have a history full of such incidents. Woman is considered a sexual toy and exploited for sexual purposes against their wishes. They are bounded to respect the orders of the male otherwise they are committing a serious sin. The complex relationship between men and women is defined by Islamic texts, the history and culture of the Muslim world, but still their valid rights are violated and they are treated as inferior to men and kept as slaves.

I would like to express my rage which is profoundly increasing and might cause collateral damage to my health if goes unexpressed or in other words I must do justice to my health. Why a girl who shares her story of being sexually harassed is socially avoided and ostracised? Why do we understand it a shame attached to the victim? Is not it a gross crime? Are we not giving free chances to the perpetrator? Why don't we  encourage the girls to speak up and demand punishment for what is done to them? Is it morally acceptable to avoid such cases because they bring bad name to family?

I don't think that reporting a crime brings harassment as it is not consented. It is our highly backward society that discourages the victim by thinking shallowly and at the same time favouring the perpetrator, by avoiding such cases. To me, it is really surprising,  mostly society considers a girl as of no value as she is sexually harassed ignoring the reality that being a victim is not a sin and any one can fall victim in this barbarically murderous society any time. This unacceptably sinful attitude of our society is encouraging enough for those who commit such illicit crimes and painfully dreadful for those who fall victims and another impact of this attitude is increasing is that  now most girls/victims avoid to share their stories and keep it a secret which remains forever and kills her inside. .

 I don't blame IIUI, why should I? In fact sexual exploitation, assault and rape is common, of students and junior employees at the hands of faculty and administration at all institutions. Oh I remembered the main purpose of coining these words.My aim is to salute those teachers and moral fathers who seek sexual favours. I salute you all. Wonderful work, keep it up! I wish when I become a moral teacher like you all, I must be able to muster up courage and ask to my fairy face girl students for what you're asking for grades, but I fear I might not be able to that is why I want to meet one of you for help and I hope you will not disappoint me.

I wanted to wind up as I told my purpose and as we all know we are living only for ourselves, but I remembered some thing that there are many cases like this in reputed institutions go unreported. These are kept away from public eyes because of the image of the institution, or in other words not to halt their business. The words of the acting president IIUI, Sajidur Rahman that, "we did not approach the police to investigate the allegations as it would have brought bad name to the university and set parents of the 9,500 girls studying here worrying." It is shameful, he does not want parents to suffer worrying but accepts their daughter's dignity to be damaged day by day. These words are enough to prove that business and name is extremely important than any other thing in all institutions.

Some people argue irrationally that harassed or raped girl is responsible for her plight reasoning she wears such western dresses which is futile as we see they are not safe in clad (burqa). I would like to ask them, is this Islamic or western?  And another attitude which is debatable is of the family members. They condemn the victim rather than the perpetrator which is condemnable in most possible words. Think, grow up, change your existing attitude, reflect and make sense.

It is the time for us to empower the victims, speak in their favour as they are harassed forcefully which is highly immoral and illegal, and encouragingly enable them to speak up whenever they are harassed or being played with their dignity, and special request to girl students to use their mind not for easy ways but for making efforts and never feel afraid reporting such cases, if you do, you're putting your future in dark pots.

Lack of mindful thinking.

  If we were meant to act without thinking, we would not have been given such a large and wonderful brain.

We are designed with a mind that simply enables us to think in order to handle different situations. We are expected to think philosophically, scientifically and psychologically to improve and make prosperous the human being by different meaningful innovations and developmental projects to gain peacefulness on the planet earth and do wise things that will create the best possible life for mankind. We have all the brain tissues to think morally and observe the good and bad, judge the right and wrong to change attitudes that are not suitable to be kept. But, unfortunately,  we are facing a problem that is acting without knowing what is going to be done because of a lack of mindful thinking.

We are failed to create a world that is harmonious, appropriate and encouraging enough to live in with complete peace, as a result of brutally conditioned minds and unchangeable attitudes.  We have developed a mind that is competitive but extremely fearful when it comes to face reality, as a result, we could not gain profoundly transformative and inspiring attitudes. We have got everything, which is literally possible, but not peace of mind. We have transformed the world into hell in order to achieve superiority, and for this reason, became hostile enemies. We have forgotten humanity and love; we don’t ache while seeing others in pain, because we have developed a sense of separateness forces that we are not responsible to share others pain and difficulty.

“If we have no peace", says Mother Teresa, "it is because we have forgotten we belong to each other.”  We have grown old but our sense of thinking is not developed, we have lost the awareness of this reality; we don’t feel connected, as we are deprived of the sense of oneness. We allow not the other to breathe if we can which is a ruthless state of mind. Our actions are based not on mutual interest and general betterment of mankind but antagonism; due to this the term “Global Village” has lost its meaning. 

We are, of course, developing technically, but not mentally and emotionally because of our shallow and profoundly meaningless thinking level. It is argued that technology makes us one, proved thoroughly wrong, as we are not gaining oneness but separateness. We don’t have a well-developed sense of oneness, keep aside this, we, even, don’t like to appreciate the concept of oneness of humanity, being fraud and greedy. 

We are heading toward destruction because of mindless and selfish thinking. Everyone considers he is an intellectual and intelligent, promotes conflicting views rather than solving the existing problems, causing troubles. We should note that until we change our thinking process, we can’t change our attitude and till then we can not be able enough to change the world. This is the time for us to realize that what we want to obtain needs learning, and learning on the other hand requires a basic ability to think experimentally, and be challenged reflectively. Hence reflective thinking increases our experimental intelligence which automatically triggers mindfulness, in this way; we can fully get redemption from disease which is the lack of mindful thinking, and build a new world and create an enthusiastically harmonious living style.
